No he tried most of any. It was just that Benoot’s attack was the right one. Otherwise he would surely be in the break. Was either one of them Jumbo’s in front.

Hoping for Mathieu to go early in a descent. These climbs will be to hard for him, even if it’s been some sort of classic. Need a head start and super legs.

People aren't crazy about being in the same break as Wout these years, he is the best rouleur in the break, he is often the best climber in the break and he is certainly the best sprinter and UAE might decide to bring him back just to be on the safe side. most riders figure they might try the next break away rather than the one WvA is in.

That’s totally true, it’s very much a waisted opportunity for Wva, and for jumbo after making the stage hard. But that’s how racing goes…benoot also probably has been given more space than Wva, and maybe Wva (and his DS) felt that it would be hard for him to get in the break without isolating Jonas (leaving him without team mates).

maybe, if he can sneak away. But it's tough, maybe his best bet is that the lighter guys spent too much riding on the flat-ish sections.
