It isn't that bad in a small group. Your car just comes to the back of the group. Doubt he wastes energy getting a bottle, could be someone on the side of the road too.
Well if I saw that correctly he was the only one who couldn't go to the car just right now (maybe also by choice) so it still had some impact...

Joux Plane stages are always hard.

Plus I don't think Pogacar and Vingegaard are that tired.

Everybody is tired to some extent. JV hope that Vinge is less tired than Pog in this race of attrition. They will fire bazooka but I don't think Pantani's record is threatened due to the hardness of the stage.

Strange KOM competition. Only Powless has consistently targetted it from the beginning. The rest of the points have been shared between breakaway riders, one-off rivals who have targetted it on the odd day, GC riders and their domestiques.

So, by persistence and some good fortune, Powless remains in the polka dots. Hard to see him surviving the last week with the jersey unless his good luck continues and the points end up being shared out between other riders.
