Hm, when he gave Yates the nod I was relatively sure that he will gain net seconds (most likely 3+4) instead of losing to Vingegaard. Don’t think he will be happy.
I'm sure he'd want more given how it panned out, but this was the exact day people thought JV might crush. Big multi mountains with a huge team effort to make it hard the whole time and instead it was Pogi who dictated the finale.

Does it feel like a missed opportunity for Vingegaard to not attack the descent? He was very comfortable on the wheel and he did take time there earlier in the race. Wondering if he could have bridged to Rodriguez.
