Some gossip from the Cycling Podcast. Astana asked for Michael Mørkøv's phone number. If Astana can get Cavendish to sign for another year, maybe they get the band back together one more time.
It makes sense. Mørkøv doesn't sound like he wants to follow Fabio to a new team. I guess he could be a good pilot to Remco, if he stays at QS, but Mørkøv really likes being a lead-out man as far as I can tell, so I guess this will be his preferred job.

After yesterday the sprinters teams might have lost morale or be more motivated. I am guessing the break away riders smell blood in the water now and unless MVP does a 40 k pull that makes Vingo's effort on Tuesday look pedestrian, it'll be contested in the break or some weird, chaotic semi-bunch sprint.

since today is the last chance for the more rouleur types, I think the breakaway will make it, here are a few riders that I would like to see there.

I hope Van der Poel is freed today, working for Philipsen at stage 21 is enough and it would be a bit sad if he leaves the Tour without any stage win.

Wærenskjold has been doing leadouts for Kristoff but he impressed in the Tour of Belgium even in the hilly stage so I hope he gets his chance here.

Mohorič won a similar stage to this a few years ago and seems to be in good shape even though Bahrain already have two stage wins this Tour.

Laporte won stage 19 last year and I think this is another good chance for him if he can get into the breakaway and now he should have the freedom to do so.

If the Danish Tv2 "Aften Tour Predictor" is anything to go by, then Cort will get a good result; he's their guest tonight. Yesterday, Asgreen was the guest, and Wednesday, Vingegaard was the guest.
Otoh, Tuesday, Bjerg was the guest, so it's not a 100% reliable predictor.
