It's looking like the LBL injury and lost training has been an issue for Pog.

Pogacar not at his best, but also blow up trying to follow Kuss and Vinge pace, he was cooked on the descent and flat.
Now he can only win by doing some crazy stunt
It's a 3 weeks race and Pogacar have been out with an injuri in his preparations. He can easily have better form in the coming weeks.

But thats also why Vingegaard had to attack from the start - he should test out if Pogacar could folow and when he could not, then Vingegaard should gain as much time as possible.

Kuss did the whole Giro and went nuts today. Remco should’ve been here surely.

Froome would have caught Hindley.

Losing a minute isn't a disaster for Pogačar. I don't think he went as deep as Vingegaard, and if he's feeling better later in the race, then it isn't over yet. UAE might be plotting something big for tomorrow already.
Unfortunately this version on Pog looks more like some kind of Pinot from the old days when everybody expected him to do well in the Tour. Exciting but nowhere near the top dog. He might podium though because the competition is quite dreadful.

Masterclass by UAE today:
* let Hindley get away in a big group with several teammates
* chase all day long to keep the gap with Hindley limited
* call one of your best climbers back from the group up to road to help the chase on rolling terrain
* leave Pogacar with no-one in support once Vignegaard attacks

Brilliant stuff.

Indeed Pogacar may get better, but today he got blown out of his shoe, andeven if come really good it's hard to get back a whole minute. Plus he may lose more time tomorrow and Sunday.

On another note, Pinot isn't giving us much of a "Farewell Tour" thus far.

It's more like the "Going away quietly in the night Tour".

Hope he perks up for the Alps or Massive Central.

He’s had 2 race days since Liege, he’s not the next Pinot. Pog has won 2 Tours and Pinot has won ummm none. Also the competition isn’t bad here it’s just we have a stand out rider.

UAE played themselves to the max. Should have let the break go and see what Jumbo would have did but wouldn’t have changed Vinge destroying everyone.

It would have made little difference in regard to winning the Tour, when Vinge goes Pogi can only look at himself to close the move. Of course now Hindley may be difficult to beat for second, but i don't think UAE really care about that.

We will have a repeat tomorrow on the last climb. Kuss will go beserk on the on steep section in the end and then Vingegaard will ride away and maybe wins if the break is caught.

Pog lost almost as much time on the descent and flat as the climb itself. I bet he comes back and has some strong days but looks to be behind last year’s form, or the other riders have leveled up.
