He was about 537 minutes ahead of everyone not named Vingegaard last year, not at all the same situation as what we got today.

He easily outclimbed everyone except Vingegaard for 3 stages in a row. That is exactly what he did last year. He didn't always finish minutes ahead of everyone in last years mountain stages either. That was literally just the two pyrenean mtf's.
