Easy to say in hindsight, but why did Vingegaard push the pace on steep section, surely he must have feelt that he wasn't super good.

Well but after yesterday that still was the right thing to do, I guess.Holy sh*t! Jumbo's arrogance punished so hard there.
Vingegaard thought he could win the jackpot on the Tourmalet & went too deep too early. They screwed themselves & it's glorious stuff.
I do love this sport on days like this.
Yes it’s been fine this season. He had some health issues in the spring (Covid in February and stomach bug/diarrhea during Catalunya), but things been going well since that.Tobias looks like he's over his knee issues?
I would rather have a Macron, thanks.Pog makes me eat my words yet again. It's not over!
Well but after yesterday that still was the right thing to do, I guess.
Would be insanely ironic...On another note, I can't help but notice how similar Vingegaard pulling Pog over the Tourmalet is to Pogacar doing the same with Vingegaard on the Galibier last year. Would be insanely ironic if Vingegaard blows himself up and Pogacar drops him but I really don't see that happening.
Everyone will be completely and utterly dead when it's actually the third week. Yates and Pinot-style implosions are inevitable.Everyone coming in looks like it's the 3rd week of the Tour, but it's only stage 6
Agree. Hindsight is 20/20 but yesterday there was nothing but blood in the water; it was not stupid of JV to believe they could stick the knife in hard today. Time gain but psychological hit too.Well but after yesterday that still was the right thing to do, I guess.
But correct to try. Pogacar was just too good and recovered better.Massive effort yesterday and wheelsucking Pog today - it was inevitable once they couldn't drop him. Not surprising imho.
I am very glad I was spot on today after seeing their faces on Tourmalet. This is great. Jonas finally puts his nose in the wind without achieving separation and Pog will hurt him bad on the last climb.
