I hope UAE or Visma put someone strong in the break to make the other team work.

I hope Tadej attacks again, even though it would probably be detrimental to his ambitions but my entertainment is more important than his goals.
It will be very hard to get a strong rider in the break for Visma or UAE, the other team will chase it down. More probable they both get a rider in the break. And this year UAE have the team to close down dangerous breakaways.

For the fifth time during this Tour I'm awfully behind news - but just read that Jonas is ready and plan not loosing too much time went well so far and if he was still in contention by now he would try out being far more progressive.

It makes me think 28 years back where another Dane who was similarly shy of nature to the medias, but pre historic stage proclaimed attacks and that he would gain time - of which filled cycling fans doubt and disbeliefs as to whether he really meant it.

Right after reading Jonas' proclaims, the exac same feelings comes rolling over me.
And in that case a breakaway has 0% chance if Visma manage to drill it hard from the gun at this rather short stage.

However, with the big difference that UAE, despite now being strongly winged, is still stronger than Visma in the high mountains and it is therefore doubtful that Visma will set a killer pace, with a Kuss that is better than Majka - or a WvA's bizarre comeback where he knocks Majka off the stick. That's not the situation now - and UAE has every opportunity to drag the pace out of the stage, so Jonas really has to make a long shot all by himself to have the chance.

Well, now I wrote myself out of consideration.

So I doubt that Jonas will take time at Pogi, whereas it could be a watchable 2-races-in-1.

G must be next in line. Just watched a short vid, asked about the stage winners so far. Not seen G going that dark, loosing sentences. In the end, he couldn't even pronounce the name of his own teammate.
If not an abandon, think he at least will fall through a bit today. Unless UAE manage to steady-pace the front pack for Pogi's benefit.

Covid19 protocol needs to return, its bad news for the fans on the ground but for riders should be the priority.

I think UAE could try to set this up for a Pogacar stage win but I hope that they don't set a too hard pace as that only benefits Vingegaard. For that reason, Visma might do something today if he feels good but I think they are going to save at least some bullets for tomorrow as its a better stage for Vingegaard.

If Visma pace up the climbs today do they have the domestiques to put Yates & Almeida out the back?

They could end up in a scenario where Visma pace all day and when their last man drops UAE are left with 3 - if Jonas then attacks Pog could have Yates and Almeida to help him bridge back, especially if there's a descent afterwards.

Jonas has to do this on his own!
