The most ridiculous crosswind nonsense in the history of the Tour de France is still from the second stage in Denmark. There was a below ten percent chance of significant crosswinds on the Great Belt bridge, and although the weather forecasts didn't indicate a higher probability of it, people kept talking about it, even on the day of the stage.

In the end, though, the peloton rode over the bridge at around 25 kph. So much talk about nothing.
