Looking familiar, isn't it? Top2 fourth year in a row? According to bookies two big favourites now (odds have changed noticeably following San Luca).
I love betting, this is an example of how people can lose so much money!
Lol.

I guess people on this board really believed that Vingo was going to show up in substandard form and what, just hope for the best? Even Plugge said Vingo's not coming unless he's at 100%. Now people are shocked that he's in great form...as though the two-time defending TdF champion was just going to show up to the biggest race of the year with his thumb up his arse. Sure.
These people are professionals. They know what's needed to win.

What if he had been in 97% form, would he then not have started?

What does that even mean?

So in advance you had taken it for given that Jonas was 100% ready? - when he wasn't even aware of his real state himself as soon as yesterday in pre stage interviews in Firenze?
Can you also bring me the upcoming lottery numbers? :p

Congratulations to Kévin Vauquelin for winning the stage.

Pogi did pretty much what most of us expected. Now if UAE did everything in their power to assist him with that, or not, they know that best. In my opinion UAE was not prepared to do any real work, to win the stage or fight for bonus seconds and on top of that they had the numbers. On penultimate climb it was clear they can easily isolate Jonas, on ultimate climb only Yates did a real turn. So they for sure still had much reserves and lets see if they will use the reserves up on Galibier.

Visma still rides rather comfortably and confidently but in my opinion it shows that they will struggle in mountains. Jonas did a stellar job, though, countering Pogi.

Remco brought back both Pogi and Jonas while having Carapaz on his back wheel. Impressive job and he is eager to take yellow jersey. Hopefully tomorrow he does just that. Carapaz on a mission, to prove his natation team disrespected him by not selecting him.

Rogla and Bora. If Rogla would not lose any time today, then in my opinion this would be a tactical masterpiece. This was not a MTF and no need for Bora to get involved. Once over the ultimate climb he still had two team members at disposal and the group was still rather large, not the worst call if deciding to utilize all this.

@CyclistAbi Vingegaard was not isolated. He had teammates.

Jorgenson was there.

Nevertheless, the Tour will not be won by what team has most numbers.
Pogacar or Vingegaard, the winner will be the one with better legs.

Exactly. All were there for Jonas, including Jorgenson, on where only Yates did a real turn on the ultimate climb for Pogi. On the importance of the team vs. individual quality. Good luck winning Tour, without a proper team supporting you fully.

I don't see Jorgenson doing Kuss things, for one, hence i expect for Jonas to be easily isolated in mountains. But OK, i get it, Jonas is the best in mountains, ergo he doesn't really need Kuss or his team over there. We'll see.
Mate, everybody will be isolated in the mountains, minutes behind these two. It's not that important. The super domestiques will just pace hard before launching them.

Sub-optimal for sure, but the post you quote was outright false:
Yep, especially since Vingegaard has not been able to train on his TT bike since the crash.
He has been able to train on it, and the team has not tried to hide that.
