Neither Jonas nor Remco will bother. They are happy with the results. Or at least have accepted them. The only question is, will the breakaway make it tomorrow? will Pogacar will try to win again? He seemed very hurt from what the media a fans were saying about the rivalry and might want to prove a point.

To me, it seems like if Remco is again one of the leaders on the last climb, he's likely to attack Vingo again. Why not? If it doesn't work, so be it.

Yup, at his current level he's untouchable uphill and he will also gain time on downhills (which he knows perfectly - his training roads).

It's the ITT which I was most looking forward to see Rogla compete in.

That sort of hilly terrain is his ideal stage profile in a time trial. Alas... we'll never know. I do believe (irrespective of where he'd most likely be sitting in GC, i.e. anywhere from 2nd to 4th) it would have been a great opportunity for a stage win.

I'm not sure. The first hill is 8 km long (it will be about w/kg), there are also long descents. I think Rogla likes TTs with more turns and shorter hills actually.

Good news everyone. The God-King, in his infinite grace and forgivingness, has announced that the plebs are allowed to go for the stage today
God-King, finally someone find a fitting name for Pog. It doesn't even have to come from someone who likes him, does it. Some of the best nicknames were given by vanquished foes.

I had doubts about Pog before today. But not now. Pog FTW. Then he gives us another demonstration in the Nice TT. The thing is he looks so fresh.
If he go for a full strike of final half-week stages, I'd guess masses would regard him 'as a bad badger', 'he should behave' and that sort of stuff. But Pogi instinct of nature will find its way.
'Nah, I'll give it to the break tomorrow'.

Alpecin also very regularly just calls off a flat sprint stage to let plebs from minor french teams win, right?

I dno why it should be so different from a GC-perspective. He has the legs, wants to extend the lead and wants to win emphatically for himself and his team and leave no doubt.
