There comes a day for all of us.

Myself got spammed on YT and SoMe mid week about his abdication from the throne.

Personally watched his interviews (with subtitles) in the 1980s and again in the 90s. Was amazed to see him in the 2010s via YT, still going strong.

I understand very well that he may have been a "thing" in English speaking countries.

A controversial cycling journalist who has split waters. But a journalist with integrity. That has been my perception of Phil for 40 years.
