This is why you need descent finishes, if you're *** at them you should be punished at least a couple of times in a GT, and if you're great at them you should be rewarded. Both are on show here.

They used to put that cat 2 climb and descent to Gap around 10-12 years ago the Shlecks complained about. Wouldn’t mind seeing it again

Maybe Vingegaard is actually hurting... because you would not expect Pogi usually to put almost 20 seconds into him on a descent.

Vingo just losing second after second now descent is flatter and less twisty. Looks a bit laboured.

Vingegaard appears to have lost a bit of confidence on the descent, otherwise the 3 behind wouldn't be closing him down, while Pogacar increases the lead.

They did this from the other side in 2011, and Samuel Sanchez absolutely dropped like a stone.
