They definitely did but will probably say that they were already on the front and just going fast to keep Pogi safe...

but they put 15-20 seconds into the breakaway from point Vingegaard punctured to like 2 minutes later. A pretty large pace increase.

Historically, great champions slow it down a little when their competitors have a mechanical.
