I'm getting 2013 stage 9 horror flashbacks, all that good racing to isolate the favourite in the early days, guys like Porte having a pajará, and at 60 to go we thought it would be a biblically great stage... only for everybody to ride at Rubén Plaza's pace all the way up the last climb, and the entire GC mix to come in together. He's never gonna drop them, so it's still no damn use. Just better to have it all come back and not be isolated.
Not really, Pog was not in a condition to even put on a fight that day. Complete anticlimax to what had been a terrific race to that point.Jonas knows where he will be at his best. When he dropped Tadej last year on the Col de la Loze, that was very exciting stuff.
People are insane if they think he should be attacking from 70Km out, when he's not even on his own bike.trying to distance roglic is wierd make it make senseits pure defansive ridding andnothing else and nothing new its a reason i guess he has two fans outside danmark
Oh well shame. Coulda been a epic stage
Not as likely this year, for sure. For one thing, Jonas needs a strong team to toughen the race in the big mountains, and it's not clear that he does. And of course he's coming back from injuries, and it's unknown just how good he is or will be.and it won't happen this year.
+1. I find it interesting to say the least that many people expect him to be at his best in week 3. I expect the opposite to happen giving his troubles after the crash. I'll have some eyebrows raised if he beats everyone. Not as likely this year, for sure.
