What? Vingegaard is one of the strongest today...Calling Vinge boring for not attacking here is like calling Cavendish boring for not attacking on Galibier.

You're right, I apologize.no need to be nasty.
Yup. I'm not sure why anyone thinks the Visma dudes would work with Todly. I get we all have our favorites, but tactically, people need to think about how it works in the real world of bike racingThey dont want to give Pog a rest so he can attack again next sector... as Jorgenson is surely not far off gassed after that effort and Vingo cant stay with Pogi alone.
If Jorgenson pulls Pogi will go over the top and Vingo has no-one to bring him back this time.
And Vingo is far more worried about Pogi and time for obvious reasons than Remco given week 3 and the terrain.
Movistar asleep again.
Do you believe there is 0 benefit to get time on Roglic, Evenepoel and the other UAE boys?
It is, but given the results of other rivals, it's a good gamble. It makes sense for Vingegaard to be defensive, of course, but pretending like there's no other rivals but Pogacar is also a gamble.
Because they don't care about Remco and Roglic, and want to avoid losing time to Pogacar. It's really that simple.Ofc i get that but still 2v1? what more can they ask for I just dont get it sorry.
Right. The dude isn't even on his own bike and he's obviously not as strong as Pogacar on this terrain.Jonas was on his limit. He wouldn't and couldn't have to pull. He did the right move
Why does it matter if it's 2v1. If Jorgensen attacks, Pogacar is like ok do that, I don't need to worry about you. Then you've let Vingegaard alone to defend himself against anything Pog does.Ofc i get that but still 2v1? what more can they ask for I just dont get it sorry.
Pogačar has to contribute too. I'm not saying go all out 100% on the front and burn Jorgenson to breaking point, I'm saying just let Matteo contribute some turns to make it harder for Remco to pull back. But what is the point in this? Distance Remco, who Vingegaard will likely gap on the mountains anyway, tire out Jorgensen and risk a Pogacar 10km TT? Vingegaard is right at the limit, if he loses support of Jorgensen through trying to distance Remco he leaves himself pretty exposed to Pogacar.
He should have come out of retirement for this stage, now that he's a gravel racerProbably thought they had Valverde to win the stage...![]()
If the bike was any issue whatsoever he would have changed it in the 20k when the peloton was not riding at all.Right. The dude isn't even on his own bike and he's obviously not as strong as Pogacar on this terrain.
