If Jorgenson pulls Pogi will go over the top and Vingo has no-one to bring him back this time.

And Vingo is far more worried about Pogi and time for obvious reasons than Remco given week 3 and the terrain.

Yup. I'm not sure why anyone thinks the Visma dudes would work with Todly. I get we all have our favorites, but tactically, people need to think about how it works in the real world of bike racing

Assuming that Pog is stronger. Let UAE/Pog do all the work and hope that at some point Pog is isolated and/or shows weakness.
More guys in contention means that Pog/UAE will have to chase after more guys.

Why does it matter if it's 2v1. If Jorgensen attacks, Pogacar is like ok do that, I don't need to worry about you. Then you've let Vingegaard alone to defend himself against anything Pog does.

Only person Vingegaard needs to mark is Pogacar.

Yeah Vinge started this race on the back foot and Visma has to play as canny a game as they can and avoid pointless efforts, and even take the risk that the mountains later on will take down certain riders not named Pogacar

But what is the point in this? Distance Remco, who Vingegaard will likely gap on the mountains anyway, tire out Jorgensen and risk a Pogacar 10km TT? Vingegaard is right at the limit, if he loses support of Jorgensen through trying to distance Remco he leaves himself pretty exposed to Pogacar.

Pogačar has to contribute too. I'm not saying go all out 100% on the front and burn Jorgenson to breaking point, I'm saying just let Matteo contribute some turns to make it harder for Remco to pull back.
