Would be a surprise to not bring Kelderman. Especially if you look at the team from UAE.
Kuss has a higher ceiling, if he finds great form. I would take Kuss.
Kuss is already doing decent trainings, i think he will be in the Tour.
Unless they think/know that Vingegaard won't be competitive. If so, bringing Kelderman doesn't bring much to the team and Van Battle is more useful for Van Aert.
Harper's form is a bit of a question mark, Yates comes into the race with the same stealth bomber prep as last year. Only one climber to support him seems a bit meh to me, if Dunbar was fit after his Giro injury I'd bring him to support Simon Yates.
Yeah, not a lot of support for a rider, who finished 4th in last years edition. Perhaps his rumoured switch to Visma next season also has something to do with it...
That said, he also didn't have a lot of support last year.
With a healthy Vingegaard this would be such a perfectly well rounded team. UAE on paper has more fire power in the mountains but on flat and hilly terrain Visma looks clearly better and the doms all seem a bit more trustworthy than what UAE is bringing. Just sucks that the leader likely doesn't have the right shape to make it a battle.
UAE brought more rouleurs to the Giro than they are bringing to the Tour...
