As long as Politt and Wellens are not crashing out, I think they are still fine.

But even when, Ayuso and Almeida have the power to be excellent time trialists, so I don´t see a reason, why they couldn´t do the job on the flat, when it matters. Of course their individual GC will suffer from that, but if they are really riding only as domestiques, then this is just not an argument.
Ayuso and Almeida are good TTers but that's not all that is to it. They are still lightweight riders who are very inexperienced and likely not very good at positioning themselves. I mean yeah, the team is still good, even when it comes to flat racing, but Visma just very clearly have the edge in that regard.

I also don't know what exactly to think of Wellens. People just treat him like a second Politt and I don't know why. Yes he has had some good result in cobbles classics but I always perceived him as a punchy allrounder who mostly excels in the medium mountains, not a workhorse for the flat. Maybe he can do that job, but it doesn't really seem like the best role for him.

Curious if Wellens can be better than usual in the Tour this time around

It's quite a contrast in terms of GT results Tour vs not Tour

The best Tour stage finish was in an uphill bunch sprint btw (and no other top 20 individual stage finishes)

I am also curious to see who will be the first between yates, ayuso and almeida starting to work when soler and sivakov are done.

It will be very interesting, how they will face already the first stage.

Normally it´s a really good opportunity to test Vingegaard already. Should be possible to reduce the field at the Cote de Leo already to something like:

Pogacar, Almeida, Yates, Ayuso, Vingegaard, Jorgenson, Rodriguez, Vlasov, Roglic, Evenepoel, Landa

Then they have to decide, if Pogacar will already go solo or if they are waiting with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if there will be problems between yates, almeida and ayuso. It's the perfect scenario to things start to mess up, a bit like what happened with Visma in the Vuelta.

It will be to much egos together, and i don't understand the need to put all of them together with more Grand Tours left during the year.

They have more than enough firepower, but there could be real problems between them after the Tour.

You mean arguing between themselves about who has to chase Soler down?

I think, all three (Almeida, Ayuso and Yates) committed to the fact, that they want to win the tour with Pogacar.

I don´t see a problem with Yates as he was already last year a super domestique. I think, they also communicated clearly to Almeida and Ayuso, that they let them ride their first tour, but not as a captains, but as domestiques.
But of course it could still happen, that they let one of these three attack early on and when nobody follows, one of them could be in the lead with a few minutes advantage. Then somthing like Visma Vuelta could of course happen. But all in all, I think that Pogacar is still many levels above these three, that normally the road will alone settle the hierarchie in UAE during the race.

The 3 musketeers have already achieved their goal keeping Rafal Majika from his rightful place

Pretty much firepower for the mountains. Don't know if it makes that much sense given the fact, that there are other teams, that will make the race, but they could build a pretty strong mountain train.

Adam and Almeida have already worked for Pogacar with no problems and stated they have no problem working for him. Add in Almeida worked for Adam at TdS when he had a chance of winning. Only wild card is Ayuso.

The problem could be all together, at the same time. Yates alone working for Pogacar, or Almeida alone working for Pogacar in catalunya, is very different of all together with ayuso in a Grand Tour.

There will be no problems for Pogacar. The problems can come for the other three. Almeida wasn't satisfied after what happened on Tour suisse, and it will not be funny, when the team demands one of them to start to work first, before the other two start to work next. It will be like who will be the first being sacrificed for Pogacar.

Where do you get that Almeida wasn’t satisfied to help Adam?

Because he had the feeling he could had won the race if he didn't had to work to yates.
He just doesn't like Pogacar so he made this up to somehow create chaos.
I think i was very concrete that there will be no problems to Pogacar. The problem will be between the others, because we can't make everybody happy, like we saw with Visma in the Vuelta.

But Almeida said he was happy Adam won, happy to help Adam win, and happy to let Adam win a second stage. Both were very supportive of the other.

Where did he tell that? I'm portuguese (and I know you are too) so I'm very aware to Almeida's interviews and news. I didn't see anything that show he was unhappy with his Tour de suisse. In fact, he was really happy with how good he was in Suisse, the level of the team, his new coach and obviously his performance despite coming in second. He is willing to work for Pogacar and he knows Yates will be the last man. Things are very clear for him.

As for Almeida being happy or not in regards to not winning ToS. He was likely led on a bit, as AFAIK even Yates was saying things like Almeida will smoke them all on the last ITT. So in my opinion Almeida was in it for the overall, why else would he gift a stage win to Yates otherwise, if he didn't believe he was in it for the overall.

But this is lasts year snow now, they both will survive, till Galibier.

Roglic or Vingegaard also said they were happy after Kuss winning the Vuelta, but that doesn't mean it's all the true. These top riders have they're personal ambitions and they have egos. It's not fun for them to give races to teammates when they feel they are better than them in a race. Like i said, i am very curious to see the first of them to be sacrificied.

They will do the job for Pogacar but after the Tour i bet there will be fissures between them, because they can't make everybody happy.

Depends on riders' personality, really. Roglic and Vingo are born champions, they want to win badly (even if the latter hides it somewhat) plus they were stronger than Kuss obviously. Almeida and Yates may be content to work for a rider, who is superior anyway.
