Tbf who was up there that's realistically a concern in the fight for 3rd? They are not going to beat either Pog or Vingo. Almeida was also back, as was Remco. Everyone else Roglic should easily beat by minutes if he's on form.

Yeah, I wasn't arguing against making an effort. Just wanted to point out that it's not much of a disaster. Of course if Roglic somehow is so close to Vingo and Pogi that these seconds will matter, they will bite themselves in the ass.

Tbh, there was also not too much luck involved either. Vingegaard forced the split (chapeau) by taking wind himself at 63kmh.

Roglic and Vingegaard are to blame themselves. And ofc Bora with extra shame of riding a leadout for Meeus for the sprint for 39th (which he lost).
