We can expect anyone actually able to climb in the break. Its not like its a pointless 14th July stage with some random frenchmen going up the road
I don’t think I was suggesting it was. Saying there will be French riders in the break does not imply there won’t be other riders (including riders more likely to win) in the break.

I expect some sparring but climbs not hard enough for gaps more than a few sec

Pog to win the stage in a sprint if there's no breakaway

Stage 11 last year was just the last 45 km.

This one is from the beggining, but it depends on how they will race.

Going full gas from the beggining, and you can have a group of just 20/30 riders after 50/60 km.

This stage have 15/16 climbs, some of them uncategorized.

Tomorrow may be harder in total kJ but it won't generate as interesting GC action as stage 11 could (and did).

Last year had 2 climbs steep enough. You need gradients to get the big guys to try to smash each other.

So how will Visma ride this stage? Let UAE control and do nothing or ride agressively?

Isn't the strategy to try to wear Pog down and hope it pays off in the 3rd week? In that case: ride hard? On the other hand this profile should really suit Pog so riding aggressively could backfire.
Wearing down Pogi's helpers.

Quickstep have no mountain support
Visma are looking at Pogacar and will probably get someone in the break
UAE just lost their best guy and are riding conservative, Soler and Sivakov have done a lot on the flat.

Honestly if Primoz Roglic gets in a big break I'm not sure who chases

Only interesting thing that might happen is Visma sneakily sneaking Jorgenson in the break. But I doubt it.
Funny, I just thought Visma might try with Yates again.
How guys feel after the 2nd fastest ever stage at the Tour and after 9 days racing will be interesting. A few guys must have penciled in this stage to have a go for a stage win, so a breakaway win would not be unexpected. Visma though seems to have a plan and that is, go as fast as possible for as long as possible and hope Pogi cracks. They might isolate him, but that's only half the job.

Marc Soler will chase him down no problem. I think this will be indicative of the quality of UAE in the high mountains, we don‘t know how good Sivakov and Adam Yates are yet.

Is this for the likes of Healy, Hirschi & Higuita!?

Otherwise I would look at Lenny Martinez, Alex Baudin, maybe even Ewen Costiou!

Jorgenson:
Tomorrow I expect that it will be a very key and decisive stage. The first mountains we've seen in the Tour de France, which is always a big explosion. And we'll see big, big time gaps.

It almost looks like Visma will do something crazy tomorrow!

It's a tough stage which will shake up the GC. I am unsure whether the stage will go to the break or the peleton.

will probably be a crazy start that peters out to a breakaway going for the win with minimal to no GC action until the final climb. hopefully somebody dangerous gets away and has to be chased down, then there might be carnage from further out.

Sepp Kuss has been saving energy for the past 22 months in anticipation of this next 2 weeks of racing.
2_years team has asked nothing of Kuss and just to stay consistent, first 9 days he has been a non factor, cycling ghost.
This stage is a real opportunity for Remco, Lipowitz..UAE can just play off the time they currently have..Kuss or Jorgenson doing anything remotely aggressive will be futile.
And Kuss as some secret weapon to chase, win, set pace for Vingegaard was part of the lost Spanish dream that Roglic also woke up from. If Visma tries to bring the heat on a leg breaker of a stage like tomorrow.. They will need a rest month not a rest day. Too much hope and pressure on Sepp and he has shown nothing to be hopeful about his shining moment was a tenth place in Dauphine.. Riding like Chris Froome's little brother Sweeper Froome.

if it gets down to a small peloton early, if I were Remco, I'd make a go at it 80km from the finish.

Go on a raid on your terrain. Quit waiting for Pog's terrain. And no singing BIRD! BIRD! BIRD! if others are not pulling
Pogacar has won Liège three times and four Lombardia, a stage with 4,500 meters of altitude and second-class climbs is also his terrain.
