no idea if it still plays a part in EF's strategy, but before they got yellow, Albanese said that this is a stage he is aiming for

Belgian Pozzato for a reason

50 wins vs 48 2nds...

Pozzato had 32 vs 28

If van Aert can manage to get more 2nds than wins he will truly be on a his own on the Mount Rushmore of 2nd places.

Especially with the Olympic, Worlds, Roubaix, Flanders quadruple 2nd. LBL 2022 is a big disappointment though. Snatched 3rd from the jaws of 2nd. Blemish on the record.

I think Gregoire has a much better chance than Stewart, but in the end they will likely all get dropped by Pogi anyway, if it comes down to a battle from the peloton

The next three days for FDJ and co are borderline rest days, they may as well go all in here. Besides, helps the entertainment

From the climb to the finish, there are 8 flat kilometers. I don't think anyone in the peloton is interested in attacking and riding so many kilometers alone before the Hautacam stage.

Surely a good thing for vdp that they don't close the gap too quickly? Means everyone keeps working and no one can attack.
