OMG that Pog crash on TV looks worse than Almeida crash even if the reaction is different.
Rly? I think it was Almeida or the guy closest to him whose wheel popped. Did you see all those bikes in each other. Also they hit the pavement hard. Meanwhile Pogacar slided. The hit on his arm to stop the slide seemed the hardest.

This is me not downplaying today's crash. It just weird how people are looking at Almeida crash and think this looked similar. The moment that almeida crash happened, everyone knew this was gonna end bad.

In reality is was just a racing thing. Pog was momentarily paying attention to something else, when there was a dramatic move right. The UnoX guy just reacted to what was happening...If I'm laying honest blame, there isn't really any blame. Just an unfortunate accident.
First it was Pogi's fault, now no one has any fault. Ahahah, easy to know who was responsible for that crash.

He took a turn when being side by side with Pog. I don’t think it was physically possible to avoid the crash for Pog once THJ started his turn. No braking or turning from Pog’s end could change the outcome.

So it can’t be anything but 100% THJ’s fault.
I think it could've, you can see from behind that Pogacar made a couple of small moves to the left. Without those he would've had some more space to brake. That and following the race direction to the right (he was on the radio at the time, so didn't have much control of the bike). Little doubt in my mind that if he hadn't been on the radio he'd have drifted to the right to follow the move.

But also there was very little room for error bc of how THJ made that move, as is obvious from above. Unlucky racing incident.

Why should they wait for Pogacar then. He's not in the yellow jersey.

Like seriously if we still want to pretend there's actually a competition going on you shouldn't normalize this stuff.

You're kidding, right?

P.S.: I don't think they were morally obliged to wait, but yes, it was the most reasonable thing to do. It really is about circumstances. If there still was a stage win up for grabs, and potential gaps could have been made, I'm quite sure we would have seen a different approach from Vingo and Remco. But now? Stage win gone, flat finish... No point in continuing to push.

I'm not saying it is a worse crash, just that it looks worse on camera the way he slid into pavement.

Let alone something as crucial as the chaingate, people remember every pacing up when someone's down for a long time, and always more negative than positive. Some teams/riders might not take it too lightly, maybe not worth the aftermath noise on this circumstance
