Well I don’t think they mind the exposure for a few stages, but the “punishment” reference is having to work at the front and control the break/defend yellow. Why are EF punished for leading the race?

Ineos to be active and try to thin it down for Laurence? Obviously no chance - they'll sit there and do nothing. So which teams could have an interest, that this will not go to the breakaway?
If it would come to a sprint of a reduced group, van der Poel, van Aert, Pogacar and an in-form Nys could still be there. If no team is drilling the climbs, it would also be possible, that guys like Girmay, de Lie or even Milan could survive the climbs.
I think it´s pretty sure, that Visma and UAE will not chase the breakaway as their focus in on thursday. I think it´s also likely, that no one out of the GC contenders will try a hard attack on the last hill as most of them will save their energy for the next day. So the possibility, that guys like Nys, Girmay, de Lie or Milan could survive such a climb is higher than at stage 2, 4 or 6.
So question is, if teams like Alpecin, Intermarche, Lidl or Lotto will try to control it or not.
In my eyes, they will not try to control it and instead will send promising riders in the break. But I could be wrong...
Based on Stage 10 then Girmay might survive if no huge attacks from top 10 GC riders or MVDP.So which teams could have an interest, that this will not go to the breakaway?

Haha. Remco and Plugge don't mix.Remco has transferred to the Visma LAB team during the rest day.
Looks more like he‘s transferred to Footon-Servetto 15 years after the team‘s demise.Unfortunately Remco has transferred to the Visma LAB team during the rest day. He now rides for Vinge

O'C, Storer, Martinez will do well to get the break. First half is all rouleur territory.Quinn Simmons, Ben O’Connor, Storer, Martinez to all be in the break and fight it out for the win.
You know it's a well designed stage when everyone has a different opinion on how it's going to pan out. Agreed 👍Well designed stage, I can't imagine GC guys going for it but who know, given how Jumbo has raced things so far. Personally, I'd ride if I was Jumbo, simply to attack with Matteo and try and bait Pog into following and tire him out for what might be the two most important stages in the race the following two stages.
