Some pre-race interviews:

Gianetti (UAE): "Pogacar had a good night. His fall won't impact his performance."

Tiesj Benoot (Visma): "I expect fireworks in the GC. Hautacam invites to really race, but even before that it will get tough."

Remco Evenepoel (SOQ): "I hope I'm ready."
This doesn't tell me anything. He can be bluffing or he is actually saying the true. We can't know until Hautacam.

I think this is the stage Pogi says enough...no more playing around with the yellow jersey and the contenders. Today is the day he decimates the field and leaves no doubt who will win...anger from the crash yesterday will fuel him with Pogi Hate and the rest of the peloton will feel his wrath. Then he will smile, the hate will fade, and it will be happy go lucky Pogi again.

He is competing with Giannetti and San Milan to see who is the Bald Fraud
Another bald fraud?
It's an extraordinarily risky move to go Baldco, because this was the first thing I thought of too, if he gets dropped then being bald just intensifies the fraud accusations.

Conversely, if he does well then the new cut will make him look wise and give him if anything more credibility than if he would've kept his hair, like Michael Rasmussen in 2007 or Riis himself.

Then all the marginal gains will get even more credibility.
