I never understand this. It gets hot where I live too, well over the 31 degrees they keep talking about. This never happens. Do they use substandard road building materials over in France?
Probably not substandard, but made for different weather.

Seems peculiar that Jorgensen wouldn't just communicate and tell Kuss to knock off the pace rather than drop out the back. Either its a genius sandbagging move or it's unnecessarily showing your hand to UAE. Mentally it's a boost to other riders though so I think he was genuinely struggling. We will find out soon.

Pyrenees region is poorer than Alps/Dauphine, but all mountains in Spain/Italy/France get pretty intense swings in temperature that can affect it (from -10/20 to +30).
