Yeah, it did look to me like Yates was fine and Jorgenson was suffering. Seems to be confirmed now.

I never understand this. It gets hot where I live too, well over the 31 degrees they keep talking about. This never happens. Do they use substandard road building materials over in France?
I know a great many things, but the inner workings of French roadworks is not amongst them :p

Jorgenson on a bad day. Baiting Pogacar ending before it truly began. For Pogacar it's all about trying to hold on to Vingo's wheel.

Pyrenees region is poorer than Alps/Dauphine, but all mountains in Spain/Italy/France get pretty intense swings in temperature that can affect it (from -10/20 to +30).
All of that applies to where I live (-35 to +35).

I think by "melting" they probably mean that the compound gets marginally soft at these temperatures.
