Vingo would be smashing this in Pog's absence. You'd need to remove both Pog and Vingo to have a competitive Tour.
And he‘ll gain 2‘20“ on Lipowitz in 6 km? I guess I wouldn‘t rule it out completely though, it‘s possible. He doesn't need. 6 km before the top.
Should have said relative to how he performed yesterday, which wasn't good. Maybe, like Jorgenson, it was just an off day and this is a sign of improvement.MTT should be Gall‘s strong suit, I‘m not blown away.
Still in 3rd fought really hard and was really miserable.. Today will make him even tougher, if that's possible.. Guy never gives up..Ftfy
And I say this as a Remco fan.
Like all great works of artI love that this picture continues to be useful years later.
I care but it's annoying to watch as you have to be on the multi-screen all the time to follow the race, especially when there is a breakaway fight for the stage. The cameras just should ignore Pogacar and Vingegaard and concentrate on the fight behind but that is not going to happen. Even in multi-screen they had only one bike to cover the fight between Remco, Vauqelin, Roglic, Lipo, Johannesen and Onley for a big part of the climb because they had one with Healy, one with Pogi and one with Vinge. The fight will be great but we not gonna see much. Also race tactics don't come in play as much with UAE/Jumbo controlling even if they don't have to. Jumbo should just say race for GC over Jonas is following for second and we will throw everything in winning a few stages. Jonas only needs Kuss on the mountain stages as support. Everyone else can have a crack at a stage win.Today's
results set up a good battle for the podium spot the rest of the race. And yeah, I know some of you will be ready to reply "who cares." To each their own.
Jonas' biggest problem is being born in the same timeframe as Pog. He's not at his best this year and still choke slamming everyone not named Pogacar.Vingo would be smashing this in Pog's absence. You'd need to remove both Pog and Vingo to have a competitive Tour.
More than possible. Look how much he gained today in a fresh effort! And he‘ll gain 2‘20“ on Lipowitz in 6 km? I guess I wouldn‘t rule it out completely though, it‘s possible.
8th best GC rider to 7th best GC rider, it isn‘t a big improvement.Should have said relative to how he performed yesterday, which wasn't good. Maybe, like Jorgenson, it was just an off day and this is a sign of improvement.
Which is a reason to like him. I would still rather see him win stages, polka dots, 1 week stage races, and classics than hang his entire season on the bottom step of the tour podium.Still in 3rd fought really hard and was really miserable.. Today will make him even tougher, if that's possible.. Guy never gives up..
I just look to both legs and think "how can Remco be a worldclass climber? He is not built for this. Let him ride classics!"The only thing missing would be Pogacar in the background.

No, I think the podium battle will be good, but I also think the two feelings can exist in the same space and time imho.Today's
results set up a good battle for the podium spot the rest of the race. And yeah, I know some of you will be ready to reply "who cares." To each their own.
Thaught the same. However the man has won the Tour twice. I think he made the best out of his potential - maybe apart from sepp's Vuelta victory.I guess so. He becomes the next Jan Ullrich ?
My East Asian farmer heritage feels even more represented by Jonas todayHe’s proud of his fisherman heritage.
14+ minutes off pace..but riding like such an old lady going for groceries, sets him up for a long attack or 2.. Nobody will chase him, he rode himself into a non threatening position, might be a blessing in disguise, can go after a stage win ..Jorgenson by the way with a really good time trial, only 2 minutes behind Pogacar and better than everyone except the 2 Boras and his teammate.
i dont know if you are being particularly obtuse but you didn't talk about this year only ....you said he would be 2nd for every Tour and maybe his grandkids would be winners.....is that particular of this year...noWhat joy do you get in willful self delusion? His own team publicly acknowledges the gap.
Do they even need to attack? I think just riding tempo will ease them past Remco through the Alps.14+ minutes off pace..but riding like such an old lady going for groceries, sets him up for a long attack or 2.. Onley, Lipowitz are an attack away from bumping Remco if he doesn't get some rust off..having a really tough couple of days.
Jan also won a tour early in his career. That's what makes the comparison aptThaught the same. However the man has won the Tour twice. I think he made the best out of his potential - maybe apart from sepp's Vuelta victory.
That was his own doingLuke Plapp had to sit in that chair for three hours.
