The break has completely disintegrated already, many riders looking way worse than usual even though conditions are practically perfect.

So what happens when a rider climbs off and goes in the team car? Do one of the team staff need to wait at the side of the road? Does Remco have to sit in the car for 3 hours until the end of the stage?

I dont know why you have to ask that

Because Remco is so talented esp at a very early age and because he carries the weight of a nation like Belgium
Most important in this specific case: because Lefevre is (was) the team boss of Remco. Of course it makes sense for him to talk about Remco specific and not everyone else…

Depends. Most likely get in the team van behind the race, then drive to the team hotel and from that moment they just make a plan how he gets home. He's not injured so a hospital visit isn't gonna be required.

And he is very talented, maybe not to beat generational GC riders but they don't get it. So more moments like this will happen when racing against Pogacar in GTs.
