As you have probably figured, I had completely lost count of how many were out front.
Imagine my surprise when first Buitrago popped up out of nowhere in the front. Then Alaphilippe popped up out of nowhere being caught by The Duo. Then Van Wilder popped up out of nowhere in the front.

Was doing the exact same :) riders kept spawning out of nowhere like it was zwift and every time it happened i'm like where the blinking hell did you come from.

I blame the coverage as they made it look like only there was only Mas & Healy & co up front of the Ving Pogi lot when actually there were a lot of riders strung out in between as the groups collapsed.

Any times for Ventoux.
Vingo helped by teammates tried hard to drop Pogi. A few attacks but no success. Credit to him for the efforts. Pogi also tried and couldnt drop Vingo. They were evenly matched today but its Vingo who has to attack and Pogi who is closer to final victory.
One step closer to levelling things up with the great Christopher Froome.

BTW UAE **** up todays stage. They did zero work uphill and let the breakaway a bit too much time on flat
Nope. Their rider in the yellow yearsey even extended his lead by two seconds. That doesn't sound like **** up. Maybe they didn't get the win for Pog, but does it really matter? They already have four of those.

And half of it is just weird, like that flat TT and hauticam. I'm a Pog fan but that was just not at Jonas level.
Yup, Jonas just looks to be finding his best legs a little too late. Nice to see his team there for him today for sure. Still, though Jonas looks much better he has not been able to drop Tadej yet, and time is about running out.

It seems to me, that the last couple of years they have been experts at cutting away from things that were obviously about to happen and not showing the full picture of events.

Almost like they are trying to construct tension instead of showing what is already there.

I have something around 54’ from the turn where Wout was visible in front.

Edit: 54’41” on strava. Around 1:10 faster than Mayo.

They only have so much motobikes to show everything, and when a group of 30+ riders disintegrates, you simply have too few bikes to show all the little groups chasing each other
You’re doing yeomans work here today. You have a lot of patience
