Those who talked about Wellens' breakfast for whatever reason don't say that after the rest day Benoot and Campenaerts have a better breakfast than climbers like Soler and Sivakov.

According to Søren Reedtz (who I might have called Michael Stærke the other day, I seriously can't tell those bald TV2 guys apart) he's "half the size of a real man."
Michael Stærke ain't bald. That is one way of telling them apart :p

I can tell the difference, and I'm really happy that Stærke isn't in the commentator team, although he has improved a bit.

Pogacar must be asking questions of his teammates here.

A Yates, Sivakov and Soler been next to useless in the mountains & Almeida away home.

Pollitt single handidly riding day after day to try and control

Narvarez and Wellens been good on the classic style stages but they aren't here for the high mountains.

The only time Pog has managed to properly drop Jonas is after Narvarez nuclear minute on Hautacam and then a long solo.

For all the stick they are getting Jumbos domestiques are giving their man more support than Pogis getting.

Soler immediately dropping, then later being seen attacking the Roglic group to try and bridge to Vingegaard a minute ahead was a magical moment though.

They went fast today, although Pog was just following so in theory they could've gone even faster still. Crazy.,

Except for yesterday when visma left their leader. Pogi doesn't need the mental support that ving does. Pog has dropped vingo enough to have a 4min + lead. Even says he has a hit of a cold. And ving still is easily reeled in on each . Let's call it an attack.. lol. More to make sponsor happy than with real intent to hurt Pog.

Did Visma guys leave Jonas behind on their rest day coffee ride? That's pretty funny if they did.

All of the GC riders up to and including Felix Gall at 3'33" finished ahead of Pantani's time.
I think those comparisons are pretty pointless. Pantani rode 20 years ago. If you sat Vingegaard and Pogacar on a bike from 20 years ago, they would be minutes slower. Not to mention all the scientific traning methods that are the norm these days.

Erik Zabel said recently that if they had had the training methods in the 90s that his sone Rick used when he was a professional rider, they would have been miles faster. Compared to today's training methods, let alone all the science around nutrition, the year 2000 was effectively the stone age.

They had some good nutrition stuff back then.

In the race I am watching UAE is treating Visma like a door mat..can you imagine that Pogacar climbing solo for most of last @8k, Vingegaard, picking up a pacer here and there.. And still when it shouldn't happen absolutely no way and Vingegaard does deep, deep work trying to attack with zero results and after Jonas jumping doing multiple uphill hard ,leg breaking intervals.. Pogacar gets another sprinkle of time.. Amazing, absolutely astonishing!! And look what UAE and Pog did to GC!! Sky is the limit!! They are only racing one guy 4:15 back!! And a laboring Lipowitz @9+ minutes back !! And for Victor's extraordinary efforts!!He is an hour and thirty back and got an official Christmas gift!! He was fined 500 Swiss Francs( $630 usd) and 25 UCI points for littering!!
Don't know how much Visma is getting paid but @$600-1200 a day ,every other day from dumb!!
