Gall made the wrong call (to put it mildly), but still gained a place on the gc and around 20sec on Roglic.
That said, he could have top 5ed on the gc today if he raced smarter, but Jumbo and Red Bull also racing braindead didn't help either.

I dont understand Bora

They had a guy with 2mins lead and yet they left him alone.....Rog is no team player , anyone else would have supported the guy on the podium

ridiculous ...they deserve to lose it to Onley who is a brilliant climber as I said at the beg of the Tour he was a podium contender
Lipo should have stayed with Onley. That is his rival. Not his teammate who tried to get a stage.

I appreciate the heart of lipo. But with rog riding on his own, I really hope onley can grab the podium

Healy finished at 9 minutes behind, Jegat isn't in yet. So he immediately lost his 10th place again.

I'm not sure it was a total Rabofail, I think Vingegaard was just bad. Plan made sense, but he just looked poor.

You realize he hasn't raced at all pretty much all day? Yes, staying with Vingo and Pog in the end was impressive, but he had done absolutely nothing since the Madeleine. This is what makes this sport so boring sometimes. RBH tried something and were clobbered for it, while those who soft.pedalled through the valley were rewarded.

Red Bull won't mind though. They got a truckload of screen time today.
Sending Roglic up the road. Smart. Sending Lipo up the road in the final 26km climb. Stupid. Not working to keep onley out of it after he was mega dropped wasn't great either.

Lipo went in with two minutes on Onley

Now only 22 seconds

Should have ridden more calculated and tactically better

Very true. But I really like that he is a courageous rider. He rode alone for a long long time today, getting back after Madeleine, then attacking shortly after, then being alone again. And he managed not to totally blow up today. Strong performance somehow, but a really stupid one at that.

Bora has nothing to worry about. Lipowitz will just drop Only again tomorrow as he has done the entire Tour.
Not to forget that coming back after the Madeleine and staying with Vingo must have bitten quite a chunk out of Onley too. There is no guarantee that he'll feel all that fresh tomorrow.

It's very obvious why the group didn't work together at all after the Madeleine. Guys were simply gassed.

On one hand; fun.
On the other; kinda anti-climatic. Certainly wasn't expecting Pogacar and Vingegaard to be caught by a larger group as they were about to head up Loze, even thought The Picnic arriving looked kinda funny.

And O'Connor likes winning TdF stages on big mountains in terrible weather.
He might like the winning part more than the terrible weather part.

@Red Rick

what is so funny .??

..It was obvious Rog was going no where on the second last climb...he was not keeping the wheel and was not going to beat Pog or Jonas
you support the guy in white who is over 2 mins ahead of you and his rival on GC ...you dont leave him alone on the final climb..you drop back ....

He lost a lot on the last climb

Lipo is young and should have ridden for his podium and white jersey

It is a big thing and he should not have done this

Had they send him up on the climb, it would've made sense maybe, but going 20k before the climb alone on the flat or whatever that was, was really a bad call, given they only needed to keep the group going and Podium, White and 4th hwould have been safe.
