Some people keep repeating the nonsense that Jonas does not care about 2nd.
If this was true he would have attacked earlier on Madeleine and went full gas without looking back.
He clearly didn't want to explode because he wants his 2nd.
It's obviously a nuanced situation. He doesn't care is probably a bit strong, but he's certainly willing to risk it. He clearly is trying to win, not protect his place, by and large. Not really in the realm of "nonsense" to say he doesn't care about second, but it might be a bit...unequivocal...vs the reality of the situation.

Of course if you don't have a great player you can't win, and this Vingo just can't beat Pog but man.
Talk about Rabofail.
These bees really are serving this Tour on a dish to Pog.
And what about that Red Bull epic fail? I would go on a tantrum directly on the bus and just punch them in the face I was the DS. Or I would just punch myself because this is pure lack of competence.

I disagree

It's easy to play manager on a computer, it's harder on the road if you don't actually have the legs to make a difference.

2nd in the Tour behind the best ever is a huge accomplishment for him and for his team.

Sure, but you also need the legs to do it. If you're not/don't think you're strong enough to get the gap, you'd just be throwing away second for no good reason.

The PC players are the two youtubers - especially Benji Naesen who repeats these stupid things like Jonas is willing to lose 2nd for the win.

People are just quoting what Vingegaard himself said. Aka he said he was ready to risk losing second to win the TdF.

Clearly that didn't happen today. He could have launched it over Jorgenson on the Madeleine and turned it into man-versus-man on the descent.

Bora can't figure out who's boss!! Lipo almost dropped into the toilet.. Close call.. But Visma have been confused from day one, minute one!! So many resources and so little to show!! And Vingegaard relegated to counter puncher , constant follower..waits, waits ,waits some more to discover that Tadej is superior in uphill sprints!!

Vingegaard is saying the obvious things for the media.
He can't say anything else.
