I think Pogacar somehow engineering a scenario where it is clear he is gifting polka dots to Vingegaard while still winning the stage himself would be a bigger flex than winning polka dots himself.
That's not mathematically possible ;)

Pogi wants the stage and red bull best shot for the podium is alone in the peloton. Roglic: "lets try again a lose-lose strategy". What a selfish man, hope Lipo has a good day.

Pog didn't even bother taking that last set of points for the KOM there. Martinez still will need to score points on that last climb but if Pog isn't too bothered, maybe he will

Shortening the stage helped with breakaway control tremendously. UAE and Pogi are going for the stage. Visma tired after yesterday. Vingo will try on La Plagne unless Pog attacks first (likely).

So no Visma plans for polka dots, that much is clear after crossing the first HC.

Their only play now is the stage win with Vingegaard.

A lot of domestiques have one good climb in them. Contador going nuts on the Telegraphe in 2011 led eventually to 50 guys getting to the base of the Alpe d'Huez together.

Danish TV2 just playing a pre-stage interview with Pogacar saying he has never been to La Plagne

How is that even possible, knowing this stage was on the Tour menu?
