Could be worse, they could throw the audience over to Michael Matthews...

Feel they need to help him out in the box rather than on camera for the moment to help him out, as his delivery is very flat and he's clearly reading off his notes.

Totally! I saw a recap vid with Matthews ... painful. It seems he is partly a prop to speak to pogi stuff (because friends).

Then there is Simon Gerrans, who seems very, very aware of his hand placement ...

This would have been a good, strong break for a flatter stage in Week 2. But on Stage 2, and with both the sprinter and GC teams eager to combat the finale, they didn't have a chance.
