Tudor really getting in the mix! Also decent jumps by other teams including it looked like Arkea tried to light a spark or 2. Trek uncharacteristically bad moves, pseudo chase by Simmons, show only almost all the catch was done by Alpecin race horses..they took responsibility and got a win for second day!! Impressive.. Now yellow!! Completely deserved both days!! Gregoire is a #$%cing good bike racer..he has had fantastic month!!

Main takes from the Tour preparation:
1) Vingo has worked on his explosivity (famed muscle mass)
2) Pogi has worked on losing his explosivity
Let's see how it ends.
Pogacar already said last year that he lost some of his explosiveness for the Tour due to climbing training.
Last year in San Luca he lacked explosiveness.

He's more explosive in the spring, but this year he already said that in the second half of the year he´d focus on high mountains and lose some explosiveness.

Why would Decathlon or Total care about UCI points? Or FDJ, but at least I give the pass cause Gregoire is actually good and deserves his chance in these stages.

Lotto also does not care, but they were at least in the break.

Well, I don't conclude from these attacks by Vingegaard that he's going to win the Tour; quite the opposite. Without needing to attack, I've seen Pogacar doing much more easily than Vingegaard. The feeling Pogacar is transmitting is incredible.

He hasn't really done anything, but it's noticeable in his ease in gaining positions.

Today he could have won with an early attack, but he chose to leave it to the sprint.

The feeling is that he'll finish alone in the first hard finish.

agreed, I mean yes its great to see a rider do something other than just sit on a wheel the whole time, but if the outcome is actually they achieve no gain from it, then kind of whats the point in keep doing it, Vingegaard didnt seem to be learning from it, other than its something different to try, and Pog looked to be very comfortable still whatever people were doing around him, so I think UAE will be quite happy with where they currently are in the race so far

Yup. I think that after 2023 Pogacar maybe realized that explosivity won't save him against Vingegaard on long climbs. I his case gaining the biggest sustainable w/kg at the cost of explosivity (if it's possible to train) should be the way to go in a GT.
