For that, 250km mountain stages would´ve to be recovered.a flat 33km ITT with the best TT rider
This is a vuelta 2022 professional ass whipping coming from Remco tomorrow
shame it isnt 66km, a proper ITT. It would be Luxembourg 1992 all over again

With Ganna DNFing this seems obvious to me, too. Maybe Affini can do something if he does a re-run of last year's world championship TT.Surely Evenepoel, Vingegaard and Pogacar will top 3 this. Could be any order, but I still expect Evenepoel to win.
Affini is always very underwhelming in the ITTs of Grand Tours. With Ganna DNFing this seems obvious to me, too. Maybe Affini can do something if he does a re-run of last year's world championship TT.
Yeah I don't think he'll do anything special, it was very much caveated by 'if he performs as he did in his best TT ever'. Protecting Vingegaard is more important than maybe coming third, though, so I'm not even sure he will go all out.Affini is always very underwhelming in the ITTs of Grand Tours.

Of course Remco is the big favorite but for a Luxembourg 1992 effort he would need to take at least 90 seconds (Big Mig took 3 minutes on 2nd).
Tour de France 1992 Stage 9 (ITT) results
Tour de France 1992 Stage 9 (ITT) from Luxembourg to Luxembourg was won by Miguel Induráin before Armand de Las Cuevas and Gianni Bugno. Pascal Lino was leading the general classification.www.procyclingstats.com
90s is probably too much to ask for, but I wouldn't be shocked if Remco takes yellow tomorrow.Of course Remco is the big favorite but for a Luxembourg 1992 effort he would need to take at least 90 seconds (Big Mig took 3 minutes on 2nd).
2 minutes on Skjelmose, 4 on THJ and 6 on VPP seems too much imo. Also what might have a small influence. Pogacar and Vingegaard won’t catch another rider during the ITT, Evenepoel might catch two if he really flies
Skjelmose should be feasible in 2min. He was close to 2min during the Olympics and the course is easier now.2 minutes on Skjelmose, 4 on THJ and 6 on VPP seems too much imo.
Okay, he may catch VPP.

In Dauphine he was 1min 44sec faster than THJ. Now it’s completely flat, almost twice the distance and Evenepoel in better shape. 4min is a lot though, you might be right.
APP definitely isn’t possible.
It's the opposite, an easier TT (totally flat) is worse for big gaps. TTs around 50 kph is where Remco can gain a lot. Not in 55 kph TT.Skjelmose should be feasible in 2min. He was close to 2min during the Olympics and the course is easier now.

Sure, but due to his form on the bike he might gain more time on flat sections compared to Skjelmose than uphill. It's the opposite, an easier TT (totally flat) is worse for big gaps. TTs around 50 kph is where Remco can gain a lot. Not in 55 kph TT.
I don't think so (uphill=3-4% gradients) and there isn't any indicator Remco is not in his best shape ever (at least until now). He was strong today, he just got greedy in the end (when he attacked) since he was completely cooked.Sure, but due to his form on the bike he might gain more time on flat sections compared to Skjelmose than uphill.
