Always disappointing to see the tour decided this early. But barring crashes Pog won (again). Not going to be fun to witness 2 weeks of greatness from now on.

Only bright spot is the joy of seeing the "Smarter than everyone else - masterplan - super team - altitude camp magic - all about the tour" team collapse in on itself. LOVED THAT. That better humble the most arrogant team in the history of this sport. Let's hope for mistakes and that Lipowitz can upset Pogacar.

Meanwhile, "attacking bottom of Hautacam was not the plan but Johnny didn't listen, lol" as strategy explanation is totally not arrogant.

Nils "you don't want to be on our blacklist" Politt, true master of humility.

It was said the route is Pogi killer, turned out, at least for now, Pogi is slaughtering the goats and making it his shrine. Still, it has only began. Long way till home.

Never said Pog and the emirate-boys are not arrogant. They are - but not like Visma-Lab. Arrogant individuals in the team (riders) but the management is always very humble and fair actually. While I don't like Matxin or Gianetti or Haupman or Sola, they never go out and say that "Teams should look up to us and do what we do - learn from us!" That's exactly the Jumbo-Visma-vibe for 5 years now.

He was honest, not arrogant.

You always are, when your athlete is winning.
Visma were not. Other guys are drinking beer on rest days! We are professional! We do the best training, the best nutrition etc etc. That was the message Visma serves us after Combloux ITT where Vingegaard killed everyone.

Yeah, but they aren't winning. Once UAE will have it hard, rest assured that beer will be forbidden. I like RBH approach the most, tons of beer.

Looks like a cold and rainy mountain stage tomorrow for the first time since 2021! Pogacar tends to get a boost in bad weather. Who else is good in those conditions of the GC guys or breakaway riders?

Mads P not in race sadly...

Not to mention Wellens saying afterwards Pogi would've won by 4 minutes without the crash that supposedly didn't have an impact, but then again did have an impact

Come on, Wellens was totally joking there. Look, I know it's a struggle to find reasons to hate Pogacar. It was easier for the others like Froome and Armstrong. But people really like Pog.
It’s not difficult at all. Just like Froome and Armstrong there’s already a reason to hate him. Even without looking at his arrogance.

I honestly think the Peyragudes ITT was the first stage Visma thought they would gain time on Pogacar when they modelled the time gain/loss scenarios before the Tour.

Pog calling attacks against him "annoying" seems arrogant to me. Like what are other teams to do, line up to get annihilated on the final climb after a stage-long procession, every mtf?

I honestly cannot find a reason to hate any rider right now. Which is simultaneously surprising and disappointing, as I'm a hater by nature.
I can totally relate to some hate for Pog. I disliked some champions too in the past, they made so many moves I found distasteful. Looking back at it now, the only things they did that others couldn't was constantly beating my boys.

Seems like the two losses to Vingegaard flicked a switch for Pogacar. He hasn't looked like losing a grand tour since then.
