Can someone explain to me why Vollering doesn't have a Dutch jersey?
I think FdJ was the only team with numbers before the second group bridged. If a rider can attack from the big chasing group with 2.5 kilometers to go, the speed simply isn't high enough. Rather frustrating to watch. But common.
Nobody could. The attack was pretty telegraphed so it's surprising nobody at least tried to go with
Yeah, and I don't think Cecilie Uttrup has ever chased down a breakaway.I think FdJ was the only team with numbers before the second group bridged.
I thought she was a sprinter.
Kopecky has been cranking out solo wins all year.I thought she was a sprinter.
Also lmao, what is this team. Do they have the three best riders or whats going on. She was doing a peak Gilbert out there
well yes, more budget than the next 2-3 best teams combinedI thought she was a sprinter.

None of the gc riders, apart from Pasio, seemed interested in burning matches to chase Kopecky, who is non-threat in gc. Kasia N. tried the AVV olympic light method of trying to bridge a huge gap herself.Yeah, and I don't think Cecilie Uttrup has ever chased down a breakaway.
according to procyclingstats, its at 15%.So what is the time limit tomorrow, because with a climbing start that looks absolutely comical.
Is she doing a telemark? A Roglic tribute from a Belgian, now I've seen everything.according to procyclingstats, its at 15%.

Edit: Added the pic. Yellow suits her, but she can it keep tomorrow?

The problem with women's cycling: You never see a race like the one in the men's Tour two days ago when there were attacks and chasing constantly throughout the stage.
What the ***?The biggest problem in a race like TDFF is the gap between the very elite riders & teams at the front and the pro conti level riders & teams at the back, some of whom may have never raced at WWT level before.
Iris mentioned it in her comms bits some of the inexperienced domestiques were struggling to handle carrying more than 2 bottles at a time from team cars, the elite riders were taking 10.
You don't get that in the TdF, by dint of actually being in that race you are an elite level pro rider, you haven't had to take 3 weeks holiday from your day job and are getting paid for riding. There are riders in the TdFF who aren't being paid at all.
So you won't see attacks constantly of the type in the TdF we've seen because the riders abilities across the whole peloton dont support it.
But you will see more attacks in stages once the nerves have calmed down, I think today was almost a stage the GC contenders just wanted to get through with no problems. Which made it a bit dull to watch but maybe understandable on their part they didn't want to take any risks, its stage 1 stay safe get to the finish.
Stage two has six categorised climbs and over 2,500m of climbing, going uphill from the off, there are bonus seconds at Drugeac after the sprint, and a cat 3 climb uphill finish. I'd expect tomorrow to be more animated and breakaways to form
What the ***?
I hadn't paid any attention to that, but is the TdFF peloton so different from the 'normal' WWT peloton?
