Ooof, whomever this is commentating with (The Far Past His Prime) Phil Ligget on Peacock is just dreadful, and paired with Phil, the duo has no chemistry, completely unlistenable. Yikes.

Yeah what happened to that other pair? They were pretty good - except their breathless praise all the time got a little tiring.

Weird they're so desperate to gap the AGI duo now when they haven't bothered the other times when it was fair game.

Agreed, but compared to these two they were golden! Really disappointing someone thought this was the pair to go with for the TOUR DE FRANCE. :p

4 minutes probably won't be enough for the break if we get that all out race behind that we expect. I know Muzic is only a minute behind the non-Le Courts, but she is not on the level she had last year.

Isn't Vollering one that likes to display herself as moral authority?
Not as much as you might think, it was more about the treatment of her by her own team rather than by others. Though Canyon did push the pace after her crash last year, most of the criticism and opprobrium was reserved for the masterful sabotage job done by Danny Stam and Anna van der Breggen in the SD Worx team car, regardless of whether by accident or design.

Demi has raised some opinions, but I'd say that she's more about an eye for an eye and reminding others who play with fire of the risks involved in doing so than preserving a veneer of innocence and setting herself up as a bastion of blamelessness.

Fenix train on the Madeleine. Pieterse will work today.

Squiban got her minute head start again. Chabbey dropped.

Squiban has gone pop very early on, going in the break today after back to back stage wins was a choice, but it probably wasn't the wisest one...

Edit: just as a thought, but it's in some of the rivals' interests that Le Court did come back, because as long as both of them are there it clips Gigante's wings a little. The fact Le Court is now pacing the group while Gigante is taking up her now-customary spot 3/4 of the way back on the flank on the other hand probably tells you everything you need to know about the team's expectations for the day.

Bradbury and Pieterse out of the back. Leaves Rooijakkers isolated I believe. Niewiadoma still has some help.
