But the fact of the matter is that Longo has been disgraced, so pretending like nothing's wrong, they may as well show Armstrong when Pogačar rocks up to Paris next year.
Well, Thévenet doesn‘t have a clean record either and they also show Virenque often enough so this isn‘t really a sensation.

Pauline's a super-peaker though, so it isn't like it's some instant karma thing. If she turns up to other races in this form, it'll be irrelevant, and if she doesn't turn up to other races in this form, nobody will be surprised because that's what she does.

And to be fair to her, at the start of the day she was criticised on here for not having won enough, so she had something to prove.

Not by me, I have been largely defending her calibre as a rider.

At the same time, "based on a true story" does not mean "accurate re-enactment of a true story". The era of super-peaking is truly back now, and I really don't know how I feel about it.
