I think I am going to turn of the sound of Liggett and Sherwen and just blast EuroTrance whilst talking on here.

I occasionally tried unmuting my TV then quickly put the mute back on. I thought listening to Evans come in would be safe. Wrong. Sherwen somehow concluded that Evans was encouraged to push a little harder because Armstrong was in the race. It is ridiculous.

I think BPC may actually be either Ligget or Sherwen.

:D I thought sastre did a reasonable job! He looked quite slow. Gesink also did a strong ride!

They were atrocious. Frank Schleck is officially Stuart O'Grady.

The Tour is officially over as well. Lance has won already. Phil is appalling. I will personally tear this man to shreds if I ever lay eyes on him.

Everything is about Lance. I swear Liggett might as well apply for the role of Lance's lover, but that is already taken. The man is disgusting and a disgrace. Then i have to put up with the SBS tool host Tomalaris. Another absent minded fool. I'm almost tempted to find an online feed and listen to the Tour in a language I don't understand because the English commentary I get is awful. Phil is worse than he has been in previous years.

I hope Lance falls or gets caught doping asap. One day in and I hate this years event.

What about Cadel? He was 3rd at the giro opening tt, 2 seconds behind wiggins when he said he could of taken it harder in some parts of that course. Wiggins was a lot heavier then so his lighter frame will be a hinderance in a short effort like that.

well done acf on the bold point. Not on the other one though.

Biggest upset of the day though has to be wet roads and not a single Rabobank rider hit the pavement, Menchov stayed upright the Whole time,. wow!!!!

Though he was certainly very slow for a rider who has won a prologue in the Vuelta 5 years ago.

Yeah, like Armstrong never ever ever took yellow during a prologue. He was always too smart to gain too much time on his rivals on the first day.
obviously not the part about lance being too smart. But he was right about him coming 3rd, which is funny in a way, since everyone else including myself expected him to be 40 seconds down or even get caught by the canc.

It does look like Lance gave his all to get a good result, I wonder how long he'll keep that up, because he needs time when they go into the mountains

I predict 4 radioshack riders in the top 10. Lance will come in 3-7 - he is too smart to take yellow so early.

Unlike the AC apologists who ex post facto "expected" LA to beat AC today, here is an accurate forecaster. Dude hasn't posted a gazillion times on the forum, either. Looks like CN newbies are showing up the veterans today, unlike what happened in the prologue. . .

we didn't know that it would rain, which lessened the chances of certain riders and well, I never read Lancewillwin8s posts, as he is on my ignore list

They're joined at the hip for better or worse. The liestrong ticker, Michelob commercials, the 'Lance in France for business' commercial, the whole LA vs Bertie angle.

I don't know how much VS paid ASO for the rights, but I guess a lot and VS is trying to recoup the costs through all possible means, brown noses included. It's a sad state for cycling ... every sport in fact. There's a lot of money to be made to perpetuate the Lance myth.

In fairness, that is the name that flashed up on the screen and they both almost immediately questioned it. If you're going to choose an embarrassing set of comments, you managed to choose exactly the ONE forgivable exchange of the day.

Isn't that a bit much? I mean sure the coverage is a bit annoying and even laughable at times..but you're gonna let that ruin the entire event? Certainly the next best thing to do after Lance beat Contador is to complain about the commentating, but I think it's a bit ridiculous to let that ruin everything else. A lot of complaining over something we already knew was going to happen..

Given the course he should do well, probably best AC by a few seconds

That was from yesterday in the Lance Armstrong thread.

I need to download the ITV's highlights for today's stage, it seems that yet again the L-S pair made a brilliant piece of commentating today ;)

He must have the attention span of a gold fish. There was only one Saxo rider on course at the time and he knew it. It was Franck. Also the build was a dead set tell tale sign it was a Schleck. The rider was very thin. Those fools never question, ever. They haven't a clue.

I lost count of the ridiculous comments. Paul was horrible as well. These men are jokes. Correction, these fanboys are jokes. Real men do not behave in such a manner.
