but he went down fighting.

No he didn't. He made a BS story up about stomach problems and then was humiliated today by his team mate.

I really feel for poor TJVG, if only he'd been as selfish as Cuddles has been throughout his career and just dropped him.

With Gilbert on his team? Nope
Phil has a better chance with Cadel there in top form. I too hope Evans starts focusing on the classics again, the reason I became a fan of him was that when I first started following cycling, he was at the pointy end of almost every big race.

he may or may not have had stomach issues, but even before that he was fighting it out. You can't deny that.

Looking forward to the Vuelta now. although Contador will probably destroy the rest and we'll be looking at a one-man show again :p

A great one-man-show:D-If you ask me- where he will entertain the crowd with daring attacks & convincing victories-far apart from what we've witnessed in this Tour....

can't wait for the Vuelta either:)

Then he'd be maybe be in 4th instead of 5th, but still a lesser rider in my eyes. If TJ keeps developing, where he placed this year shouldn't matter by the end of the decade.

There are also some names in there who you would not expect there. Van Garderen, Zubeldia, Rolland, Brajkovic, Pinot, I only gave them an outside shot at top 10 if half the contenders fell away, which indeed happened.

Loved the way Wiggins destroyed Froome and the rest, just goes to show why he is the team leader and if any climber had tried to put time into Wiggins in the mountains he would've crushed them all regardless.

Done the british people proud.

The man is living proof that a clean rider CAN win Le Tour de France.

Haha, yeah. I think the mods have started banning people for spreading these hateful rumours that Wiggins is clean.

Take this awful 'clean Wiggins' talk to the clinic please.
