Wow those are some slick uniforms of Astana, and a good start so far, 2nd at the time check, Vino really wants to keep close for the chance at yellow going to Mur-Bretagne or maybe on Super Bessy

Sounds like Stephen's been on the speed. Fraid I'm having trouble deciphering his Dublin delivery.

you sure? contador hasnt looked very impressive in a long TT for a long time.

He was crap last year, he's been much better this year. This TT has 2 sharp hills and plenty of descent in it - Bertie dominated the mountain TT in the Giro, and was ahead in the Milan TT until he stopped trying and enjoyed his victory ride in. Then in his first race day after a month off he came 2nd in the nationals. His form this year makes pretty clear he's in 2009 shape, not 2010.

Wiggins put 1 minute in to very good TTers on the Grenoble course. Schleck is going to lose out badly.

mountain ttt is not comparable at all.

Still a time-trial.

He is right, it has been a long time since aac has done much in a long itt, namely because we haven't seen him do one.

That "long time" is Milan for over a month ago. Still way more impressive then Andy in the same discipline which is whom i compare him with (maybe a bit harsh given that Andy never competing unless it isn´t Le Tour).

AC biggest risk in the itt is probably fatigue. At that stage, he will be feeling the giro and tour mountains in his legs.

You are probably right but we´ll see.
