I'm shocked Evans didn't attack like he did when Basso/Nibali were delayed by a crash in the Giro.

ridiculous comment,

a) he fell as well
b)alll he did was chase down vino who at that stage looked his biggest threat.

Its like saying that the Shack attacked the schlecks after the fall today

You could got to the old CN live report ticker. It's almost as exciting as Radio:eek:
yes i have this on and treading this thread :S...... it is better than nothing... infact these threads are quite good for getting some info.......

btw for teh fellow who gave me the link to bbc radio 5... my antiquated netbook tells me i do not have the correct media player so it cant play it:S... its some linux nonsense and i have tried many times to install this but i cant do it:S....... so that isnt working either but i found one site that i can play radio stations from around the world on.. so i just need to find one that will be broadcasting the tour..... the radio 5 live on there had some stuff about politics on it.........

for te stage... what a gay finish a big crash that could have been really interesting ends up being very uninteresting... I thought todays stage could have been good fun at the end... but i would like chavanal to win though and I hope he gets the yellow.

I think common sence has prevailed - teams/riders that did not crash could have pushed on but also risk kissing the tarmac themselves.
This stages are not about winning the Tour - its about not loosing it.

Andy looks hurt and he has to be worried about tomorrow.

So tomorrow we can expect everyone to wait if someone falls on the cobbles? I thought part of putting cobbles in, and dodgy descents in was to cause gaps? I respect that one of the main leaders came down, and that in fact, it looked like all of the favorites were caught up or crashed, but those are the breaks. If it were a flat road and a dog came out, okay, wait. If you are in a group of favorites and one rides off of the side of a mountain, okay wait. If the yellow catches a handlebar and goes down, okay wait. If there is a stage on short steep climbs and descents in an area known for rain causing gaps because of terrain, and you add roads like that to your race, then that obstacle is there for a reason. That reason is to break up the race. The race broke up, and nobody wanted to take advantage. I wish some had is all.

who fell?

Apart from the fact that would confirm him as the biggest bastard in the peloton, he's clearly had a hefty fall, himself, judging from the state of both his jersey and shorts.

did not see that. am a lance fan so am bummed that he went down hard if that's so. also contador was in the group with lance. do you know if he went down too?

why is there no versus video showing what went down?

It's a good point however, but ....

Wow, you have a crystal ball! Any chance you can let us know next weeks lotto numbers as well?

A motorbike was heavily involved in the crash, force majeure etc.

Having half the contenders out of contention because of a crash on the second stage isn't what I'd consider interesting.

You'll get you wish and Chavanel though.

I think the current "Patron" is Mr Cancellara who was on the front and he was threatening to cast lightning bolts down on anyone who'd dare attack....

My thoughts as well. If AC goes down tomorrow, Radio Shack will no doubt drill it.

Unless Sylvain Chavanel is out (which I don't believe he is), then I must question the assertion that this stage finish is of an alternative sexual persuasion.

They, along with Eurosport, were on commercial breaks.

Lots and lots went down.
Favourites? Both Schlecks Lance and Christioan VdV definitely.
Contador? doesn't appear to have come down.

Rider protest I think.
