Having half the contenders out of contention because of a crash on the second stage isn't what I'd consider interesting.

You'll get you wish and Chavanel though.

it is interesting :S.... it's not fair but it would make things very interesting.... although I am hoping for a good performance from franck so I am a bit glad he's got back there... I think i mean the crash is bad and it would have been better without it because i think this stage could have been really good but there was the crash and now we get nothing really :S... they crashed it didnt make any gaps and no big fight for the stage win either.

I think everyone is missing the point about the motor bike being involved in the crash. If circumstances were different then we might see otherwise. But feel free to armchair quarterback from your lofty all knowing positions on the CN forums.

That finish is why the Giro is so much better

I think the current "Patron" is Mr Cancellara who was on the front and he was threatening to cast lightning bolts down on anyone who'd dare attack....

Yea, all he had to do was hook up the the battery in his seat tube and he could shock the hell out of anyone!:D

What a bunch of babies! It's a f**king bike race! Aren't these some of the same roads ridden in April in LBL? Now all of a sudden they're unsafe. FU Fabian.

Boo Cancellara!

NO neutralisation. FC is only complaining because his team mate crashed. I guess they should neutralise tommorrow as well. If they neutralise the stage the tour has become a joke!

Today showed us the difference between the Tour and the Giro: When, God forbid, something exciting happens in the Tour, it takes 20 minutes before everything is back to normal again. "Normal" being the peloton soft pedaling in protest to the finish because something (almost) happened GC-wise on a non mountain stage.
