I always pray for someone to get away from the sprinters. I loved how Vino did it, and I'd love to see it again.

Also, I still have hopes for Rojas. It's going to be hard, but it can be done.

A Norwegian victory would be beautiful but I think neither Hushovd nor EBH are in a mental state where they are able to concentrate fully on the task ahead. They both looked absolutely devastated.

Cavendish will win anyway.

the stage is 95km????

Yes, it is. Could the mods please change that?

Every route says it's 95 km, but for some reason the Cycling News Heading for this stage says 160?? That's what I get for not double-checking!!

By the way, congrats ACF!!

Thankyou!

I wish the Australian media would stop trying to sound french by saying Tour de Frons. It is the Tour de France with an "a". :p

I would love that.

On a rare serious note, don't you think the pure sprinters Renshaw and Cavendish will be still in pain tomorrow from the hurt of the Alps and that the victor will be a tough-guy sprinter? e.g. a Norweigan, a Greiple or maybe even aRojas!?

Greipel has a slim chance but that's because he's a very good sprinter. They all suffered in the Alps, Cavendish had a go-slow time trial to help his legs recover and if history is anything to go by he's even quicker in Paris.

Vacansoleil would be the team most likely to disrupt things:) I hope they try something.

Will there be any retirement laps of honour? Maybe Astana can do one for Vino:p

Surely if you're not Gallicizing it, it has to be the Tour of France?

If it's the Tour 'de', then you're aping the French, and therefore should pronounce it with the nasalized [õ].

:p

Andy attacks from outside Notre Dame, wins stage by 91 seconds.

Dreams!

Would love to see Thor of EBH win, but we all know the train that will be getting ready for departure.

Dont worry, if the gap was 5 seconds, the gloves would be off. I just hope we get to see more of Cadel than we did last night. The coverage was crap, it always is in a TT.

Going to watch to see Samu in his Polka dots! Hope he has the kit he had on stage after the time trial, red polka dots on shorts and jersey! It will be a bit of an eye opener for the early start I get on the west coast of America.

Cav will win. Kinda of hoping JJ Rojas can upset Cav though and take the overall green jersey from him. Just make it exciting!

I look forward to seeing them pour Champaigne, and see Sammy in the polkas, on the road, with the champagne and on the podium, celebrating Sammy style by acting as if he is an 8 year old who has just gotten a playstation, every step of the way.

Also I look forward to the national anthems.

Since the Spanish get messed with, with the Tour playing the Danish national anthem in 09 and the Giro playing the Franco version this year, i do hope that the TDF organisers mistake will be to play "Toms Traubert Blues" by Tom Waits which contains a chrous of "Waltzing Matilda" rather than the real "Waltzing Matilda" which exciting as it may be, is less likely to get me standing on my feet with my hand on my heart, or at least to keep me in that position after La Marseillie brings me to it.

lol .... but you do know that Waltzing Matilda is not actually our National Anthem right?

Sky and Garmin will put everything into their leadouts tomorrow (maybe OPL also with a Sieberg, Roelandts, Gilbert, Greipel leadout?). Even if Garmin's leadout seems to work, Renshaw will cut off Dean on the last corner and in the end Cav will be well positioned (as usual), and win.

Rojas ftw (Cav to lose the train on the last corner, forced wide, brake, drop back 100m, get boxed in) with Cav closing fast to finish 3rd, a tyre behind Greipel (2nd).

Is it possible to have a polka dot bike ready in such time too?
