Oh, just remembered AC already has a Grand Tour win for this year in his back pocket! So maybe the 90km attack to the d'Huez was surely for fun!

Just remembered also that he has the most Grand Tour wins than any rider in the TDF2011 peloton! So after all, he is still a great winner, and still riding! Huh!?

No.. I see the 90 Km attack as AC admission chances to win the tour was over but deciding to ride as king maker. By forcing the Shlecks to respond till they were exhausted, he allowed Cadel to use his style of riding to his advantage both in the mountain and in the ITT. I am sure the Shlecklets thought that having disposed of AC the day before, they were going to be able to gang up on Cadel during the last few kilometers of the climb to l'alpe and take time on him for the ITT.. But by the time they got there they had left all their explosive power chasing contador.. great work AC

Ah, I agree that Voeckler probably can't resist sending the crowd into a frenzy with yet one more attack. He'll get caught, of course, but I expect to see some more camera-time from him before this Tour is over.

on the final lap, vino slides into the htc train, holding cavendish's wheel. when cavendish makes his move for the finish line, vino hesitates a bit just to make the sprint fair. when cave is 20 meters ahead, vino goes....and wins the stage by a bike length.
