You don't know much about cycling beyond Armstrong, do you?

If you want a real ride of the day, look at Andy Schleck and Cadel Evans. That was a ride.

Here here +1

Lulu becoming a GC contender?

Uncool by Vino. Maybe we do have a controversy in Astana. AC mechanical. I was thinking maybe he was weak. Clearly no the case.

Ryder deserved to win that stage...oh well.

No blame there. Looks like Contador simply get a puncture in the final straight when Vino burried himself assuming Contador was still with him I think. Rode his heart out to the point he noticed nada.

Menchov survived. He will be up there in a week and a bit. Andy has lost a ball and chain (good and bad points there). If Gesink survives the coming days, I think this could be sweet viewing in a few days after all. Still have hopes that this Tour will deliver for once.

Lance, great ride on his own, bit of rough luck, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I was reacting to people celebrating a puncture. I don't understand people who don't like to see things decided fairly.

Evans is obviously the big winner today.

Meh, I still don't see him winning. He will lose time to conta (and menchov imo) in the mountains and ITT.

I can't see how he could be happy though.
Good ride by menchov.

Not surprised by evans, am surprised by schleck.
Given the circumstances, I think he is happy.
Yes Andy Schleck and Evans win 2 minutes.
Contador, Wiggins win 1, Kreuziger 30 seconds, but it could've been so much worse...

I think the best ride was Contador. He held tough like a true champion he is. Good on him. He was superb. Astana will have some big questions that need to be answered in there camp

Epic... Many riders have gone way up in my books today... Ryder, Andy, G, Alberto.

Unlucky for Armstrong and Chavanel.

Good day, thank you Mr. Prudhomme.

Contador had a flat tire at the end, so nothing Vino could have done anyway.

he could have not towed some of contadors rivals over the line... wiggins and menchov gained some time cause of vino.... although i suppose it will be only a small gain... but he shouldnt have been going so hard if he knew contador was off the back... although maybe he just didnt notice.

Dude, get used the forum. It happens on here. People want to see LA fail.
He had a puncture. Thats racing it happens. Nothing unfair or unlucky about it.

Terrific stage. Yes, pity about Frank, but overall it was exactly what I was expecting from stage 3 - to shake up GC.

Evans / schleck
Menchov +1min
Conta +1.20
Sanchez / LA + 2.10
Gesink / Basso + 2.30

Today we've seen what Cancellara's fair play bullshit is all about: only if it works in the favour of the Saxos.

Contador and Menchov.
Both kept Schlecklet at a safe distance. Didn't expect them that close tbh.

Frank Schleck broke his collarbone.
