Imagine having a better team in the mountains, having a better preparation for the Tour without serious injuries, a route made by the organisation again more suited to him, having good roleurs like Wellens and Pollit who have been doing a great job until today, and then still complaining of something.
Every team makes mistakes sometimes.

@Peyroteo94 is a bit nervous, forgive him. He'll be much calmer when Teddy overtakes Vingo during the TT tomorrow!

What sort of possible Tour route would be unsuited to UAE and Pogi?

The true is the route of the Tour 2022 was almost perfect for Vingegaard, but the reality is the route of the Tour 2023 except for the stage of La loze and the route of this year, was made again to please more the french and Pogacar.

Suddenly, there is less mountain stages and hard mountain stages. Ventoux, col Madeleine, granon, Portet, iseran, alpe d'huez, the most hard and steep climbs of France were forgotten by the ASO, and except for the stage of Plateau de beille, they are doing short mountain stages, instead of more >200 km mountain stages with >5000 vertical meters.

Astana did such a good job yesterday guiding Cav through ~15km-3km to go... when ofc then he had to start wheel-surfing as the train got broken up. Chose the correct side of the road and held it through multiple sections.

Wonder if they pick the left side of the track today with the curve at 3km, the pinchpoint then the roundabout with only 500m to go?

If they get him to 3km in the frontish group then it is technical enough for him to thrive for sure. More technical than yesterday where his positioning was fantastic.
