Samson said:Last stage win to Pinot - what a season for him already. Talansky managed to protect his yellow.
He was in a breakaway with Rolland, and beat him comfortably, so based on this stage he is betterFidolix said:I begin to wonder if he´s better than Rolland...
France got some big names comming for the future.

Gesink hasn't stagnated, he's gotten worse, due to injury, and maybe a lack of real drive. He's a level below where he was 2 or 3 years ago. It's too bad.Miburo said:Yeah what they did Kreuziger was just way too much.
Injuries for Gesink are an excuse but still when I saw him 5 years ago I expected a bit more from him. I doubt he will ever win a GT, maybe but then everything needs to be on their place. He seems so vulnerable.
Anyway Pinot should stop riding this year. But you know that next year french people will expect so much that the only thing he can really do is disappoint them.

Pinot to me seems a totally different type of rider. Yes, he's a climber, but that's where the similarities end. I think he's a future superstar. Actually, FDJ have been relatively careful with him, to then release him in the hardest GT possible at 22 years of age... maybe not the wisest of choices, but he did great. I doubt he'll succumb to the pressure, I just hope Madiot can be a bit less of an idiot.

I don't think being in the break and losing a few minutes to the eventual stage winner will secure him a contract.Bye Bye Bicycle said:There's no need to have the 264th Gesink discussion in a thread for a race he didn't participate in.
Buffaz with his usual once-a-year-top-performance-to-ensure-new-contract-for-next-year.
So he already had a contract, in which case this stage result is irrelevant.Bye Bye Bicycle said:He's already rumoured to IAM project.
